This page sets out how Jdar handles personal data and the rules for using jdar-arch.com.

Privacy Policy  ·  Terms of Use

Privacy Policy

Jdar (“we”, “us”) is an architecture and interior design studio based in Cairo, Egypt. This policy explains what personal data we collect through jdar-arch.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It applies to the website and to enquiries sent through it.

Who we are

Jdar, Building 15, El Emdad & El Tamween Street, Cairo, Egypt. Email: info@jdar-arch.com. Phone: +20 223 052 912.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit through our contact form: your name, email address, phone number and the message you write.
  • Technical data automatically recorded by our hosting: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site working.
  • Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site and, where enabled, analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used. See “Cookies” below.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to run the project.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website.
  • To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We rely on your consent when you send an enquiry, on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website, and on legal obligation where records must be kept.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if a project follows, for the duration of the project and the period required by Egyptian law. Server logs are kept for a short period, typically no more than 12 months. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and our email — hosting, email delivery, spam protection and analytics — and only to the extent they need it. Some of these providers may process data outside Egypt; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how it is used, or to object to a particular use. Write to info@jdar-arch.com and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Centre or your local supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function and, where enabled, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as expected.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to submitted data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.

Use of the site

You may browse the site and use its content for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, interfere with its operation, scrape it in a way that degrades service, or use it to distribute unlawful, misleading or harmful material.

Intellectual property

Enquiries and no professional relationship

Information on this site is general. Sending an enquiry through the contact form does not create a client relationship, a contract or a professional duty of care. Any engagement begins only when both sides sign a written agreement setting out scope, fees and deliverables. Design decisions must always be confirmed by a qualified professional for the specific project and site.

Accuracy

We try to keep the site accurate and current, but project information, availability and services may change. The site is provided “as is” and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Third-party links

The site links to external platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Behance. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices; their own terms apply.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Jdar is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or from reliance on general information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
